Fixed the tv cable problem but...

I posted a while ago about a tv cable problem and that has since been fixed. After that, the car shifted perfectly. Yesterday though after I got on the gas a couple times, the car wouldn;t shift right (just as before the tv cable fix). I found out that if I put it into park or just restart it, it is fine.

Can somebody explain?

For those who don't know...the tv cable would get stuck causing late and hard shifts. The cable was fixed for sure, so I still wonder what was causing it.

Re: Fixed the tv cable problem but...

Well after I fixed the cable you could barely tell when it shifted if i'm light on the gas, which I assume is normal.

Yesterday what happened was that it was shifting late and hard. One way I could tell something was wrong was when I hit the gas a little to accelerate and just revved high before picking up speed. There was one point where it wouldnt shift at all so I pulled over poped the hood, and checked the tv cable. It was springy and tight like it should be. ON the way home from school again today it did it, so I pulled onto a side street, through it into neutral, and shut it off without stopping then started her back up and put it into drive. It was fine after that.

The TV is probably sticking in its bore in the valvebody.
