Shift kit ??

Ok my current 89 305 TBI, 700R4 has a B&M Shift Kit, A corvette Servo, moded to go into OD at Full Throttle, B&M 2500 Stall, and B&M Shifter....Shifts like a rock, and I am pretty happy with it.......

Just picked up a CHERRY 92 25th Anniversary 350 TPI, 700R4, it shifts like a little girl car...I know alot of people do not like B&M products, so tranny pro's give me some suggestions on what you guys like.....MY 89 is so tight because of all the suspension work, it is weird driving the 92, altho it seem to be a quicker car.. (Maybe).......Thanks for any opinions on this subject, Tom

Re: Shift kit ??

Most folks like the Trans Go kits better. The 92 might just be in need of a rebuild as well.

Re: Shift kit ??

well if it is in need of a rebuild, who sells the best kit? my tranny needs a rebuild in the worst of ways but i cant seem to waid through the bull if you get my drift. I want the transmission (700r4) to hold up to around 375 N/A and 450 on the bottle. sorry about the thread jacking btw

Re: Shift kit ??

A shift kit from Pro Built Automatics is in my opinion a very good kit.I have one in my 87 chevy SB.I like the smoothe part throttle shifts and firm wot shifts.Banging gears in all throttle positions gets old quick.Thats what you get with all these other shift kits.Give Dana over there a call, tell him what you re looking for and he will give his opinion and advise on which way to go.

Re: Shift kit ??
