ok well i have this mystery car, its a 91 RS ik the engines a 305 TBI, 700R4 and the tranny shifts pretty hard, AT ANY RPM. I think its pretty dam awsome. Putting it in 1st out of park, it will lunge a lil. I pull of, stomp it, and it doesnt hesitate. I smack it into 2nd jumps up and pulls even harder doesnt hesitate at any rpm, I was testing this out, it was pretty quick, i cant tell rpms in this thing, our mph, bc the whole gauge clusters pretty much gone. But when the engines screaming i know its near 6000. Can any one tell me if this has a bad TV or does this have shift kit in it? The TV cable on the TBI butterfly is in mint condition. I dk the origanal owners, and what they did but this car will easily out perform some of the previous cars ive owned b4. I can tell by the feeling. Including a 96 Ford thunderbird i owned, that had the 4.6 V8 and its rated at 215 hp 230 ft lbs of tq, and it was well maintained down to the aftermarket CAI, and im running TBI. Please any info on this would help. Thanks.

I'm sorry but I can't really tell if you are asking a question or making a statement. Also, you said that you have a 700r4 tranny but then go on to describe what sounds like you are manually shifting a transmission so maybe you actually have the 5 speed?????

sorry guys, im kinda new to these things, most guys on forums try to make me look like an idiot. Of coarse im only 18 years old. Its auto. Ik its a 700r4, factory stall convertor, OD. But yea i just installed a tach, i manually shift this 700r4 and it really kicks in hard on 6000 RPMs. Is this a shift kit? Thanks Alex

Youre saying it's a 700r4, and yet you're also stating that you're manually shifting it...

seriously, am I on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment ?...

your tach is broken

the LO3 rolls over and dies at around 4k rpm's due to a smog cam and heads.

you get absolutely no benefit going beyond that rpm

it's not a modern 5 liter with vtec (oops, sorry, variable cam timing) and free flowing heads, modern computer, direct injection and free flowing exhaust.

shifting hard is better than a soft shift. less slippage
