Throw out Bearing Installation

I am installing my new Mcleod throw out bearing right now, and it slips onto the clutch fork with basically no effort as if its not being held onto it good enough. Shouldn't it go on harder than this?

Re: Throw out Bearing Installation

If the spring clip on the back of the fork looks in good shape stands away from for the fork some, I wouldn't worry about it much.

Re: Throw out Bearing Installation

The clip looks good, its just that it seems to have a loose fit. Could this cause any problems?

Re: Throw out Bearing Installation

I installed a release bearing today. They fit on the fork very loose. The trans actually holds the bearing in place once it's in. The fork just pushes on the thrust surface of the bearing.
