check it with a wrench before you go to the store. i think its 13mm, not positive though. i can do a quick check later, if need be.

Re: tranny cooling line removal at radiator

I had to remove the trans lines in my Jeep recently. I soaked the fitting for several days with PBBlaster, then used a regular wrench (didn't have the appropriate-sized line wrench, which, of course, would be the best bet) and gave it a couple of love taps. Came off without issue.

Re: tranny cooling line removal at radiator

1/2" is close enough to 13mm to use. I don't think transmission lines are metric. They're 5/16" steel lines with flare nuts similar to brake lines.

Hi Joe. Not yet man. I'm a full time college student. I've been out of home since 3:15 am. And now its 6:30 pm. I won't be home until 10:30 tonight. I had spoken to a fellow member how owns his own shop. His name is Chevy8588. He told me its metric but he couldn't recall the size.

Re: tranny cooling line removal at radiator

i use metric "crows foot" line wrenches they are the tool to use here it keeps you from rounding off the shoulders on the fitting

I found the right wrench for the job. Unfortunately the edges of the bolt where rounded. So I used my vice grips.
