700R4 Problem

I was driving my 86 T/A and i messed up the tranny from a burnout, fluid went all over the engine bay. So i put more fluid back in and the thing starts out in 2nd gear with no 1st gear?wtf ...So i took it out the next day and shifted in reverse hard and now its stuck in 1st gear and will not shift into 2nd? The fluid smells burnt, and i also found out my radiator was cracked and my water pump was going, what could be wrong with the tranny? Also on the highway it made a ticking noise (like an impact drill) could that be the TC?
Any help would be great thank you.
