4.56 gears in 10 bolt rear
Ok so I searched and I can't seem to find an answer on putting 4.56 gears in my 10 bolt...I have a rear end from a 96 ss camaro it has 3.42 gears in it and has auburn posi. So can I put 4.56 in it?

sure, don't expect it to last long with how small that pinion will be.

You need a special crosspin that's thinner than normal to clear the 4.56 gears. Just another weak link in the diff.

Instead of going to an extreme with one aspect of the car, try matching engine powerband to the gear you have going on.
An L98 with stock intake manifold doesn't overall benefit from "too much" rear gear. Unless it's something with mods that push the powerband up a lot, 3.73 is about the absolute max I'd go with regard to 1/4 mile and drivability.
I'm a huge fan of overdrive and lower rpm on the highway, so w/ a TH350, I'd go even less but that's me.

Well see with 3.42 gears I can barely go on the highway and I really don't mind just having a car to just drive around town...I do want to get a better engine but that's later down the road. So o was just gonna get low gears for now.

Right; 3.42s without OD aren't enjoyable on the highway either, in my opinion.
I'd save up to go 700-R4 or even 200-4R. Either would give you a shorter first gear and very good highway manners. With a lock-up higher-stall converter, that might give you a best-of-both worlds scenario.
If you were soon (or had already) going to a higher rpm powerband engine, that would be when you'd benefit from getting more gear than 3.42.
