For something like that, I'd run a SPEC-5 on a "budget" ($500 or so)... youre going to get clutch chatter but you'll be very happy w/ the setup... If you have a grand or so to dump in the setup, look into a double or triple disc ram clutch... expensive but will never disappoint!

Just FYI: I had a 475HP LS1 w/ a M6 and I loved my SPEC-4. again, clutch chatter but I didnt care... I knew it wasnt going to come apart at a 5k launch

Re: im sure you have answered this a million times but....

so i hate to sound stoopid...but is spec 4 and 5 a brand or GM stuff, since i have to already buy a $400 flywheel id like to keep this on as tight of a budget as possible. and if used the calculator right, (i think 6th gear is .5 on the t56) its saying at 70 mph i would be only at 2100 rpm? that would be fantastic. thanks again

No, do a google search on "t-56 SPEC 5 clutch" ... that'll give you a good idea on what they go for and it should give good specs on the clutch itself!

Re: im sure you have answered this a million times but....

thanks again for taking the time to reply to all of my noob t56 questions. so i guess i wasnt specific enough when i was listing off the car's engine. im mainly looking at driving this car on the street and hitting the track no more than a few times a year. almost never seeing a shot of nitrous. im looking at the SPEC site and it seems like the stage 3 would be more reasonable for that, do you agree? im just scared that its going to be a nightmare to drive it and thats all i really do with it
