If it's not a direct bolt in diff for a third gen then you'll need to buy a mount kit from Currie so that the torque arm can be attached to the diff. Get the mount tubes welded on with a 220v welder for good heat penetration. Then there's all the other brackets for springs, shocks, panhard bar, LCA etc.
Before doing the swap, is the diff the same width as a third gen?
Do you plan on using 32 or 33" tall tires to go with those 4.88 gears?
Driveshaft length may or may not be the correct length but the u-joint will probably need a conversion u-joint to fit.

Yea you need either a Disk/Disk factory valve or a aftermarket adjustable one. I went aftermarket and kinda wish i hadnt since it was a pain to install.

Re: info for a ford 9 inch
32 x 10.5 slicks? Wow, good luck stuffing those under the fenders. I did a lot of sheetmetal work to stuff 29.5 x 10.5 slicks. At least the height justifies the 4.88 gears.
The GM u-joint should be a 3R. The Ford yoke either takes a 1310 or 1330. Take the yoke off and take it to a parts store and have them match it up with a conversion u-joint for a 3R.
If you're putting out enough power where you need those tires and gear, get rid of the factory driveshaft and diff yoke and start fresh. Get a new 3" steel driveshaft made up with 1350 u-joints and slip yoke and buy a 1350 yoke for the diff. When you get the shaft made, you can get it sized correctly once you have the diff and tranny yokes.

Re: info for a ford 9 inch
the slicks fit i had them on before. i could be wrong on the size ill have to check to make sure. i only ordered them out of stupidity i wish i could trade them for a smaaler size. i know my hole setup is just a bunch of parts thrown together and thats not the way to do it.i will be working on getting everything to work together after its all in.

Does the stock drive shaft work in the quick performance rear end? Also what type of brakes do you need for the rear?

Re: info for a ford 9 inch
I can't say for the quick performance but with my moser housing and ford iron case third member, I was able to use the same driveshaft. I just had to swap the rear U joint for a conversion joint to fit the ford yoke.

For brakes I'm still confused. Can I use ls1 rear brakes?

I'd just go on quick performance site and see what brakes are compatible. I'm sure you can use lt1 or ls1 style.

Re: info for a ford 9 inch
That U joint is for the aftermarket pinion yokes on the aftermarket rear ends. I didn't have the 1350 yoke on mine. I bought the moser housing/axle package then got a ford iron case third member built with Detroit locker, etc. My pinion yoke was a 1330 cleveland size.

Re: info for a ford 9 inch
There are many yokes for the 9 inch Ford. The original car yokes are longer than the truck yokes. As far as I know all of the after market yokes are the shorter truck type. There are 1310, 1330 and 1350 style yokes and also flanges for CV joints and other types. Your drive shaft will have the 3R u joint which doesn't fit any of the Ford yokes. You will have to use an adapter u joint to fit it. Also, the 9 inch pinion is a little shorter than the GM rear ends, so your drive shaft may be a little too short. If you can find an original car yoke then it might be long enough to allow you to use your drive shaft with an adapter u joint.
If you order the rear end housing with the correct housing ends you can use the original PBR disc brakes on the 9 inch. The Moser housing ends are 7900FM for GM disc brakes. The axles will have to be cut to fit the rotors.
