Not too bad really...
Remember that the side gears and the spider gears have to all coincide with where the axles need to be.
Each individual small gear has to be put in in such a way that when the carrier gets rotated to where the axles will go in, the small gears line up again. Usually easiest if you put in one spider gear, then line up the 2 side gears to it, then slip the axles in enough to keep the side gears from falling out again, then rotate the carrier until you can just barely get the other spider gear in, then slip it in and hold it while rotating the carrier in the appropriate direction.
