168 tooth flywheel with t-5?

Will a 168 tooth flywheel fit in the bellhousing of a t-5?

Draw a vertical line through the two right bellhousing bolt holes.

A 153 bellhousing has a starter pocket inside that line. All V8 third gen bells are like this.

A 168 bellhousing has a starter pocket outside that line, required for the 168 starter to fit.

Does the Lakewood bellhousing clear a 168?

Buy a non-stock type 153 flywheel or run a weight plate between the crank and flywheel.

Yep. The Quicktime one probably does too.

Can't speak to that; but I"ll tell you what at least SOME guys with a 400 do.

We take our stock L69 flywheel to the balance shop and have it "unbalanced" to the stock 400 spec.

For my 383 I used the stock 305 flywheel. Of course I had the rotating assembly balanced.
