700r4 swap or rebuild?
700r4 swap or rebuild?
Hey im just wondering on what peoples opinions are price and worth while wise. Im building a 350 which should be in the vicinity of 320 horse and 380 ft lbs of torque, and i need to do something with my 700r4. So ive seen heavy duty rebuild kits for about 500$ and then id have to pay a tranny shop to rebuild it and put in my shift kit, or ive also seen TCI sells a 700r4 combo which comes with the tranny rated to handle 450 hp NA, and comes with fluid and a dipstick and torque converter and a cooler as well for around 2500$. So im in between do i rebuild what i got or do i buy and install a brand new setup which comes with what i need.

If your gonna get a brand new setup id hold off and run your current 700r4 till it dies. These transmissions are tanks.
