167.42 HP and 181.365 ft-lbs. (approximately)
Exceed either of those #s by more than .0001% even for as little as a picosecond, and you will find that the matter will meet the anti-matter and anihilate the entire known universe in a tiny black hole centered on Washington DC.
Seriously,
There's people that have tore em up with a 6-cyl or a 305 (me), and people (myself) who have got em to live for tens of thousands of miles behind a 400. It just isn't that cut-and-dried. It's more a matter of probabilities than "limits".

It's more about how you drive it. Drag race it behind almost anything, and it's gonna blow up. Get groceries on sunny weekends only, and it'll probably last a long time behind anything.

What are your plans for the T5. Sticky tires and hard launches hurt them and so do missed 3rd shifts.

i was just wondering if its worth doing a t56 swap. before i do any sort of engine mods. mind you the T56 is happening with an LS1 swap sometime this year hopefully. just figuring out if that should happen now or if it can wait

No. The gear ratios of any 94-up unit aren't a good match for the LB9. And 1 of the 2 1993 gearsets that do match well to the LB9 isn't really adaptable to the LS engines. So wait.Originally Posted by snarley
