Short Throw Shifter MGW

Just installed an MGW short throw shifter on my T56 and couldn't be happier!!

The shifter itself is beautifully constructed, billet and anodized, it was almost a shame to cover it up with the shift boot. The shifts are fantastic! Very crisp with a positive locked in feel in every gear. The centering spring is very precise and I no longer fumble around for third gear during hard acceleration like with the stock shifter.

I recently played around with the shifter in C6 Z06 at a dealership, and I can comfortably say the MGW unit is miles ahead with what comes stock in a late model high performance sports car. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade to a short throw.

Oh, and almost forgot, not sure where the stock shifter on F-body T56's are made, but the MGW proudly has Made in the USA right on it; always feels nice to use domestically sourced parts.

Re: Short Throw Shifter MGW

GHSP provided the base level 93-02 F-body T56 shifter. They're Michigan based but have international facilities. Not sure where they were made.

Hurst provided the factory option shifter; directly to Borg Warner / Tremec for some transmissions and of course to SLP for some conversions.

MGW can be a little under-sprung with regards to centering characteristics. If it helps you shift your best, that's what matters.
