I have a 1992 RS. Which I have bulit a 385 all roller and put a 1997 T56 behind it. Right now I can not the the speedometer to work.. I got the right VSS hookup... The arm starts at 0 the then will jump around then max out any help would be great thanks to you all

 

Did you install a Dakota digital sgi-5 ?

 

No I have not... is that what I need? i thought they where both 17p?

 

Tbi is 2k ppm tpi in 92 is 4k ppm

You got it right, if you had tbi you don't need to use the vss buffer .

 

VSS Buffer? Yeah it had a 305 with tbi when i got it

 

 

Ok so I got it in wired it up but only one green light is on it says the top on means no signal did I wore it up wrong

Purple from vss to ground and other other one to ground as well yellow from vss to Sig and to other out put 3

also the gauge it self starts a 0 the gose up till it pegs out as I start to drive

 

output 4 is the 4k optical to your speedometer.

 

i got it to work thanks man for the help... I had to have the 3an4 switch on then walk in down to the right speed .. but it is dead on now thanks
