OK i have searched and cant find anything that has to do with the problem i am having. The car is a 1990 Camaro RS with the 5.slow. This moriing i was leaving a stop sign under a easy to moderate accel. and the car went from 1st to 2nd fine and then shifted into third but about 5-8 sec after it shifted into third i lost everything. I pulled it over and tried every gear even reverse and nothing. the drive shaft is still there and the fluid was fine a couple days ago.(i check it once/twice a week due to a minor leak) I am going to tow it home in a lil bit. i replaced the trans in march, came out of a astro van with a 4.3. dont know the mileage.

 

If you have nothing at all may have damaged the pump gear that generates the hydraulic pressure to make it work
or the torque convertor that connects the engine to the trans.

thank you, i had failed to replace the torque converter when i swaped out the transmissions. as fas as everyone has told me its the tq. but ill check the pump issue also.

 

the fluid onlt drops maybe a half inch when started.
