Overdrive 700 problem makes engine choke
Overdrive 700 problem makes engine choke
When I drive around 30 mph and suddenly have to stop, I hit the breaks and I can feel that the gear doesn't manage to gear down in time, resulting the engine to choke.
I heard with some people about this, and they say it's the lockup in the transmission that is faulty.
I have no clues about this, and in my Hayes manual is pretty useless because everything in it (pictures) doesn't match my car.
And also when it shifts down I feel it and hear a little "clunk", so maybe I should change gear-oil aswell.
Can anyone provide pictures / explanation of how I can fix these problems?
My car is a Camaro 87, Iroc-Z. 305 TPI. 5.0 liters with 225 hp. 700 auto transmission overdrive.

Your converter lockup solenoid is stuck on. Just unplug it, then go have it replaced.
