Work was done this week. *
Monday Night I swapped the pedals from the big automatic brake pedal to the clutch and brake pedal from a 5 speed trans am.


I swapped the pedals in a few hours and drove it back to my apartment with a floppy clutch pedal & the automatic. *Tuesday afternoon I pulled it into the shop and started pulling the automatic. *I removed the center console, automatic shifter, driveshaft, disconnected the torque converter from the flexplate, cables ect.

Wednesday I got the transmission out after a long fight trying to get to some bellhousing bolts. *By 5 PM it was sitting on the shop floor.



After that was out I pulled the flexplate and bolted the flywheel in. *Then I realized the pilot bearing was sitting in my desk drawer, so I decided to call it a night. *I went back Thursday afternoon and installed the the clutch, bellhousing than transmission, hydraulics, and the crossmember and driveshaft from the automatic.

Oh and I can't forget that I cut a hole in the car for the shifter.



I drove the car home this afternoon and it drives well. *

 

Well done, manual trans are much more fun.
