going from 84 700r4 to a 91 700r4 in camaro help
okay i have a 84 camaro with 84 700r4 that i took out getting a 700r4 out of a 91 will everything match up or what will need done please help anyone

They both need to be from V8 engines. The torque converter spline count is likely different. So would need to use the '91 converter. IIRC, the spline count changed from the '84 to the '85 MY.
Will need to swap the VSS out for the cable drive unit. And possibly swap the drive VSS gear.

okay so can you or anyone tell me how i swap the VSS out for the cable drive unit. and swap the drive gear thanks!

Remove the tailshaft housing ( 4 bolts ), remove existing drive gear ( green gear in pic ) and replace with the gear required.
Make sure the gear retainer clip shown is installed correctly into the output shaft otherwise the gear will spin and you will have no speedo
