2nd gear grinds... sigh
well ya rebuilt the trans, fixed the leak so its full of auto trans fuild. 2nd gear was hard, very hard to shift into and now after the rebuild its grinding when shifting into 2nd, but it seems to only grind when rpms are above 2200 rpms or above a certain speed, not sure which but point is why is it grinding? I mean its new blocker rings and even a new 1-2 slider hub.

Probably the pilot bushing fits too tight.
Pop the trans out, take some sandpaper to the bushing. BE SURE to fill it full of good hi-temp grease WITHOUT FIBERS when you put it back together. I used to use white lithium or Kendall blue grease, but these days I like to use Mobil1 synthetic grease. Fill up the cavity behind the pilot and smear plenty on the inside of the bushing.

After you check & address that,
With regards to the synchronizer pieces,
The slider inner 3 notches should drag the keys out of their position (in the middle of 1st and 2nd) against the outer 2nd blocker ring. This presses the cone(s) together. If they're not pressed / dragged against the blocker, the cones won't slow 2nd down.
(just in case you gotta go inside again)
(hey, just think, once this is fixed, you're good for a really long time!)

im thinking 2nd gear isn't slowing down. bc if I go straight to 2nd it grinds, but if I shift out of gear, pause, then go into 2nd no grinding. I find that kinda weird but its whatever, ****ing vss isn't working anymore for no reason so im done with it.

The 2nd gear blocker set should speed match the gear to the synchro on both upshifts and downshifts.
If you hit 4000 in 1st and at the same speed in 2nd, you go to 2600 (just using random numbers here, then go to 4000 in 1, then clutch pedal down, hold the engine to 2600 and shift into 2nd. If that rev matching effort works (and the same procedure in reverse for 3-2 does the same thing,) then yeah your blocker set isn't doing the trick.
I don't remember where you put which keys (stock or modded,) but it's pretty critical to test fit them and make sure they can slide in and out of the hub easily, but be caught by the notch in the slider so they can do their job of pushing on the blocker ring set.
