Manual shifter length

T-5 tranny, the stock shifter sits way too high! Feels like I'm driving a truck! And finding gears suck! Is there anything I can get to shorten the throw and height of the shifter?

I have this shifter with an inch cut off the top of it. Way better than the stock one.

You can just google T5 shifter, camaro shifter, mustang shifter, etc and find what you want since there are a few out there and lots of opinions on them.

I googled it and that's one of the first ones that came up in some threads, I just wanted to make sure that's a good one to get. So this will get me a shorter throw and height? What about firmness?

Shorter shifts and height and much firmer. It is a nice solid chuck of machined steel. The stock shift **** threads onto it.

This is the cheapest I can find them

Then I got one of these boots for the bottom

Re: Manual shifter length

i have a hurst pro billet in one camaro and a pro 5.0 in the other. throw is roughly the same if i had to buy another it would be the pro 5.0 solely for the fact that it is cheaper. you cant go wrong with either.
