why wont these parts fit my rear end?

I have an 87 IROC. The pumpkin says GM 22522678 which is the standard 7.5 10bolt.

I ordered axles, ring and pinion and a posi diff from Summit using their tech dept. All these parts are for 10 bolt 7.5 yet none of them work. My car is currently down and I need it driveable. Whats up with this rear end? I looked on the passenger side tube for a stamp or a code and nothing! My car is clean, not rusty or filthy. Shouldn't there be a code on the axle tube??

First mistake was ordering rear end parts from Summit. What doesn't work? Need more information. Are you sure that you have the 10 bolt and not the 9 bolt?

and you need to be specific on what the problem is, a simple "it doesnt fit" isnt enough info, basically your saying your outting a square peg in a round hole, thats what i get from it, PICTURES DO HELP if you have any

Re: why wont these parts fit my rear end?

If everything is still original then you have a 9 bolt, not a 10 bolt. The 1987 5.7L TPI came with a 9 bolt and was never offered the 10 bolt.

How many bolts are on the rear cover? Like everyone else is saying, we need pictures.
