Re: 45 tooth driven gear
Does anyone know any other applications/vehicles that this GM 45 tooth, driven speedo gear was used in? Perhaps I could pull one from a junkyard blown Tranny. One photo is of the gear and the other is the speed sensor it mounts to.

I don't recall seeing a PN for one and was under the impression the cars that might have got a 45 tooth in mech. speedo years got a 44 in all cases.

Re: 45 tooth driven gear
Berlinetta's used them in 84 & 86 in some automatics. ( could be 85 too, but I couldn't find a reference to that gear anywhere in the 85 gear charts ) I'm not POSITIVE that the same gear will fit on the 84-89 style VSS as well as the 90-92 VSS simply because I've never personally placed that gear on both VSS's,..... but the part numbers book shows the 84 & 86 Berlinetta used a 45 tooth Driven gear with that part number.

Thanks for the info! Was that the 700R4? I know Corvette used the gear in some of the C4's. It is a GM part so I'm thinking it may have been used in other GM cars outside of the Camaro/Firebird family.

Re: 45 tooth driven gear
Yup, 700R4. The same 84-89 VSS used in the Berlinetta (and 86-89 Firebird ) was also used in the Corvette from the same era, so I'm guessing that the Vett 45 tooth electronic gear you mentioned "should" be compatable.
I check my spare parts, but didn't have one available. Good luck on the hunt !
