Not the normal tv cable clicking

So I finished installing a new 700r4, I set the tv cable by pressing the d button and sliding the black slider all the way torward the firewall, released the button and brought the throttle to WOT. Now when I hit the gas at around 3/4 throttle I feel the pedal click and hear it coming from the tv cable mount, is this normal? Does anyone else have this? I'll attach a picture of how far the slider came out when setting the cable. I haven't driven it yet and my dad wants me to get it out of the garage in a couple hours so fast responses would be cool, thanks

Re: Not the normal tv cable clicking

I've also been seeing that some people say that after they set it how I did they keep the throttle at WOT and then press the D button and slide the slider back to the firewall, is this true?

No. Read this: http://www.jakesperformance.com/TV_C...etup_Info.html I recommend using a gauge. Go to a hydraulic supply store and get a 0-300 psi gauge and get them to make up a 7 foot long hose, i think it was around $35. I set mine with a pair of vise grips on the end of the cable and hold the throttle bellcrank at WOT and adjust until cable is tight or slight play (1/16"). Works very well, out of over a dozen tv cables (new delcos or used) I've only had one "self" ratchet and it was a used one. Go figure.
