What do you recomend

I am fixing up a 1984 Camaro Z28, what transmission would yall recommend I am new to this forum. Any extra wisdom will be accepted thanks.

Engine: 355, 10.34:1, 249/252 @.050", IK200
Transmission: TH-400, 3500 stall 9.5" converter
Axle/Gears: Ford 9", detroit locker, 3.89 gears

What's the end goals for the car? Needs for a street car vs drag car vs auto X car is very different.
Any wild plans for major power increase?

The 700r4 is a very good Auto overdrive transmission for street cars with under 450 HP

Work, school car but with a good amount of power and automatic

700r4 sounds like the best route for you then..

4L80E with a stand alone controller if your over the 500-550 HP mark

Or a th-400 with a gear vendors unit added to it
