Doin an LS/60E swap in my 91 camaro, will my stock 700R4 tranny cooler lines work with a 4L60e (given the engine/trans placement isn't changed). Will i need adapters?
To use your existing 700R4 cooler lines will require threaded line fittings at the transmission. Most, if not all 4L60E cooler lines are quick connect type that use a "C" clip retainer so you'll need to swap back to a threaded line fitting.
Perhaps your fittings off your 700R4 will fit the 4L60E.
I don't know about the cooler line routing or clearance issues you may have.

I recently went through this. Removed the quick connect fittings and replaced them with normal flare fittings.

So I just need to buy a adapter? Fitting that goes to trans and screw rad line fitting to that? I just screwed my line fitting into the trans and its leaking past the line that's why I'm asking. Thanks

The transmission is tapped with a straight thread. You either need brass flare adapters, or quick connect adapters.
I did find these online at advance auto parts it says it fits 700r4 and 4160e but I've seen that the 4l60e was nps threads and the fitting I have is npt do you know if that's correct?

As far as I'm aware, 700r4/4l60/th350 are all straight thread.

And straight thread is nps correct? I don't know much about the styles of these fittings. I went on dormans site entering a 98 Tahoe which would have the same transmission and it shows that is a correct fitting for that case, but npt. Just trying to get the right parts don't wanna ruin it anymore if it's not already ruined. Thanks
I went through this. I removed the adapter from the 4L60E and replaced it with the adapter found on the 700 R4.
Okay cool that's where I'm stuck now but I'm going too try them, won't over tighten them and will put tape on threads before installing. Been looking for male nps x female npt all day and can't find them
Yea I know the feeling. I just tried it and it worked. If I had the time and luxury of spending more money, I would have done custom AN lines because there is less headache down the road with routing everything.

sure is less headache, thought about just doing the AN lines but those fittings and lines add up fast i just did custom lines for fuel. thanks again
