How hard to instal T-56 in a auto equipped Car

I have a 87 Trans am GTA and also a 89 IROCZ. The GTA is a elect speedo as the IROC is not. ow hard would it be to install a T-56 into both of these cars since the 700r4 has taken a sh t in both cars. They are also getting new engines this winter and will have around 400 horsepower 400 lbs of torque. I know my sig sys a probuilt trans in the GTA but as of yet I havenot purchased it. Any critisism positive or negitive WILL be helpful.

I'm glad to see more people doing this swap. I bent the Skulte crossmember and made my own out of 1x2 rec. tubing. Also, I used the 4th Gen. pedals with only minor tweaking, great heel to toe action. Anyway, to answer your ? I did a mock-up with the trans installed and used a black marker to mark the trans tunnel for the shifter. If you want to contact me, I'll help you with the speedo, backup lights, or any other qestions. Good luck Chris
