I could not find a definitive answer as to whether or not a Lou's short stick or UMI short stick would fit the Pro 5.0 shifter for a T5 in a Camaro. Is it possible or has it been done?
I could only find UMI part # 2105, but it states 93 and up F bodies...
Do you know if this one fits or another part #, I'm checking with UMI too...
Thanks!
UMI's answer..... since they don't sell another one, I'm assuming this is the one used and bolt on... please confirm nhra-trans-am when you can... Thanks!

We can only guarantee fitment with the year/model that we list. It's
possible they fit other years but that would be on you to determine
and there wouldn't be any returns on it.
It's possible those guys made some kind of modifications to make it fit.
It's interesting to hear that someone has it in their Trans Am without figment or function issues. I believe that UMI has only sold one for 93-02 so that would be the part he has on his Pro 5.0 shifter.
I also would like to hear fitment confirmation just to be sure.
My car is torn up inside, so I jumped in to see what I could find... but the rubber boot that mounts to the body was still on... looks like a straight stick...
I looked online for pics, and they look like a straight stick for the Pro 5.0 T5 too... Checked a website, and though this is using it on a Pro 5.0 T56, it is the only UMI stick and it's straight, and you can see pics of the both are straight, both have an angle and it is a bit shorter...
I ordered one from Amazon, but I'm leaving on vacation today... Will install in a couple weeks, unless nhra-trans-am cares to chime in before then... I'll let you know how it goes....
Yes, it was a 93-02 short stick. No modifications needed. Although I did replace my shift **** with a t56 4th gen **** that I had laying around. I will confirm if the stock **** would have fit. I will take some pictures too when I get a chance.

Thank you very much for the info, this certainly helps make my decision a whole lot easier and I'm sure others looking into a setup like this as well! I would be interested in seeing the photos when you get the chance.
As for performance, would you say it's a great improvement over stock in both the crispness of the shift as well as a shorter throw, especially with the short stick? I know my stock T5 setup is nearly like driving a truck. It's not horrible but it could certainly be much better.
The Pro 5.0 is just plain amazing to shift. Had one on my T5 and it was awesome. ....swapped in a TKO and ran the stock shifter for awhile and hated it. Swapped in another Pro 5.0. ....the lever itself is nothing compared to the difference the shifter makes. I actually don't like short shifters. Shorter than stock, yes, but not "short" per so. Fabbed up a Hurst lever and bracket for mine, but of course that's just personal taste. The Pro 5.0 however is where it's at!

Thanks for chiming in, I appreciate your thoughts. These cars need a little help in certain places and IMO this is one of the areas. I'm certain that this is the shifter to go with.
It's also nice to know that the shorter stick for the 93-02 cars will work on these, at least the UMI one that is.
I guess I should address the not so great Proline/GR2 shock combo I bought the car with before I pull the trigger on this.
The difference is night and day between the shifters. I felt the same way before I made the switch. I can also confirm the 4th gen and the stock **** does fit, however the stock **** does show quite a few unused threads on the short stick.
Just put mine on today... no problems...
Pro 5.0 83 to 92 Fbody T5 shifter...
Angle/mount all the same, only "difference" the UMI stick as you go down the stick (top to bottom) is fatter than the Pro 5.0 stick, but my rubber boot fit fine, so no problems either.
