Adjusted/Repaired TV cable on 700r4, shifting late

Hey guys, I've been driving with my TV cable rigged to the throttle (and it shifting fine) for awhile now, and today while replacing the fuel injectors I replaced the plastic clip that was broken on the tv cable and readjusted it. Car loves the new injectors, but acts like she wants to hang onto gears and shift later than she should.

I followed this guide-
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...djustment.html

I pushed in the adjuster tab, pushed the slider back, and pulled the throttle to WOT (as far as it would go) and heard the click. Then I released the slider and the throttle. Where did I go wrong, or do I need to dial it in some more? I've read thru other threads where guys had to dial it in another click or two. Any suggestions? Got a lot of driving to do tomorrow and don't want to burn anything up....except rubber

Just have to test drive it till you find the sweet spot. one click at a time.Has happened to me a few times. But in the future when you get it perfect, take a spray can and spray it on the tab so next time if it happens again you know exactly were it goes.

Where do you get your cables? I just replaced it on my camaro, but I bought one from AutoZone and I'm pretty sure it broke.
