86 firebird clutch has no resistance

I have a 86 firebird with a 305 and a 5 speed tranny. For the past few days, My clutch was starting to make a clicking noise when I disengage it (right at the grabbing point) I was planning on taking it off the road for the winter in the next couple days and decided I would work on it during my holiday break (by the time I get home from work it's too dark out to even bother) I was taking it out Christmas shopping yesterday and when I pressed down on the clutch to come to a stop, it just became loose like it's not engaging with anything. It just dangles there and sits where ever gravity put it, zero resistance or pressure at all. I am currently looking at forums and can't find anything related to the condition of my clutch, is there anything that would be a common problem for That? Linkage maybe? Thanks! Going to go take a better look in a bit here.

Confucious says it sounds like the plastic clip/insert on the clutch master cylinder rod, that snaps onto the clutch pedal probably broke and the clutch is swinging freely without engaging the rod.

What drew said, the rod popped off the pedal. You probably need a new bushing/clip
