I stopped keeping track...the thing I like now is when they say FREE!! in the last year I have been given 18 to 20 free T shirts...some I will pass on as they are only 2x.
TCI sent me a hand full...I might put them up on My shop wall...lol.. wife is always saying I never wear them..I keep telling her..when.. the car is running I will...

Re: TH400 with clean Neutral..

yes I did a $4000+ 700R4 with all the top of the line hard parts made for it today.. as of today there is 1 Manufacture Whos making one almost like mine.. I say almost as they do not use
a billet pump gear
Billet pump stator (the thing that's bolted to the pump face with splines)I forget I use one that's better
or cryo the parts
you can see the price they want
https://www.animalperformancetransmi...4-street-beast

making the jump to a 615 all aluminum BBC I had to have a Good set of headers. Dan Lemon. of lemons headers set me up with a nice set. to let the 615 Breathe...and so..they do not fit the 700R4/could not use it

so I had to go with a trans that fit the headers/fit the car/fit the BBC/ hold up to the beating its going to get..
enter the FTI Stage 4.5 TH400.

I then added a few other after market parts Like I always do..Jw super bell & Moroso aluminum pan.. TCI plate.and roller bearing tail shaft.(a lot stronger then the GM part) thicker /solid bolt pads and solid inside..no support ribs..better looking part.
and Ill do a Refinish on the case..(FTI is sending me replacement decals) for the case.
NOTE: The GM 92 camaro Z28 Chrome Brake booster and polished master Cylinder...Power Brake Supply out of CA. sent me the GM parts for free..(taken apart) I have them polished and chromed..sent them back to PBS. and they put them together. then sent them back to me...SWEET! thanks to Kathy at PBS.. helping a guy out!

Re: TH400 with clean Neutral..

the 700r4 shown not fitting the headers is also up for sale all B&M with B&M 9" converter its a manual/auto.works Fantastic! so good I did not want to open it up and install all the new hard parts so I just left it..(none lock up) 3500stall kicks the tires over if you want it to..or leave in drive or over drive and it will do all the work..(when ya feel lazy)
$1000.. pricing the $4000 plus 700R4 at $2000.. the parts are going for more then that.!!…..but hay its only money.
look at that thing shine...(was so close to doing a polished case..lol)

Re: TH400 with clean Neutral..

before cut below

ok recut the TCI plate to fit my trans..

Park

reverse..(hold trans brake button down)

1st gear..pops up when pulling away from REV..(this detend I cut into plate..as stock cut would let you slip into drive from Neutral..I don't have a Nuetral..I have a 1st gear..my 1st gear is in place of neutral. below is the cut I made in plate.this cut makes it so you have to pull the trigger. to go from 1st TO 2nd gear..making IT so you don't slip from 1st to 2nd with a goofy short shift and a oooshi% shift..

pulling the trigger and pulling back on the shifter I now go to 2nd gear...

let go of trigger..pull back into 3rd gear...

now pull trigger and pull back into Neutral..and start to shut down...

now after the car slows down 10mph or so..pull trigger push forward..and the shifter stops in first gear..so easy a cave man could do it!

This saved me from paying another $850 for a MM/ATI shifter..and I like the look and feel of the TCI Outlaw shifter..
testing out on the trans to make sure the detents in the tranny are 100% the same..(should be) as ya don't have to recut plates to get them to match up...but ya always test...

on a SIDE NOTE: Do Not play with shifter with E clips holding shifter together...removed..like in pics above.. I like playing with parts and have no problem taking apart and putting back together..some.. Might not feel the same way...so if you are doing a cut on the detents..do not move shifter when laying it on its side...it will be BAD!...do not cross the beams!

Re: TH400 with clean Neutral..

detents checking out with trans..just to make sure.as not to burn up the trans....letting the trans detent do all the work..and the shifter locking it in place..

also just checking out a 4th set of A arms..(cuz I could) I had every set that sphone made and stayed with the last set I got from them..(they don't make them in this config) any longer..I orderd a set of BMR. A arms. I like them and was using them to check the Geometry. I have had some in the past..that I did not like..
sticking with the sphone set for this build.
