Rear Differential gear oil change

I’m planning on changing the rear differential gear oil. I have never done this, and have read to use two different types of products. ACDelco 10-4051 GL-5 80W-90 Axle Gear Oil – (23 oz.) and ACDelco 10-4003 Limited Slip Axle Lubricant Additive – (4 oz.) How much of each do I need and what is the mixing ratio?

GU5 – 3.23 Rear Axle Ratio
G80 – Differential, limited slip

Thank you for your help!
James

About 2 quarts of gear oil and a 4 oz bottle of the additive. Put the additive in the first bottle of gear oil and then squirt it in.

Don't make the popular mistake of using gear oil that already contains the LS additive and add an additional bottle of LS additive, in effect doubling up on the LS accidentally. Read the label of the gear oil you're going to use before you add additive.

Limited slip differentials don't limit slip too well when there is too much LS additive.

Drew, thanks for the heads up... I will make sure the LS oil isn't already blended with the gear oil.
