Just getting geared up to do a tko swap and was wondering if the trans tunnel has to be modified and if so how is this done?

 

The was a pic in the other thread you responded to. Looked to me like the top of the tunnel was cut out, then a new piece fabbed up and welded over what was cut out.

ok thanks but doesnt look like you would be able to keep the stock console in that pic? im sure there's people on here doing it with the stock console tho??

 

You dont need to be as invasive as the picture referenced in that thread. I raised the rear of the tunnel right after the lower boot area about 1" and was able to use the stock console. I don't have pics though, they are long gone.
