would this work?

Hey guys, I wanna drop gears and a posi into my car this winter and am wondering which way to go. I was gonna snoop around until I found a wrecked car to take the rear out of. My question is I've heard that SLP sells a posi for $99 that works real well in our cars. I have a 91' Firebird with 2.73's which is a series one carrier I think. Is there somewhere I could buy 3.73's that would work with my carrier, or am I missing something. I f I could buy gears that would work with my carrier and get the posi for $99 I think that would be the cheapest way to go and even get new parts! Someone chime in on this please, anyone with experience? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure with 2:73s you can get 3:73s. I think it's if you have 2:77s that you have to get something slightly different. And yes, I've heard the SLP take off posi works really well. And a word of advice, if your car is mostly stock I wouldn't go with 3:73s. Especially TPI since it stops breathing at 4500rpms. I'm sure some will say go ahead, or even if you plan future mods go ahead.
