Does anyone have a diagram of the clutch master cylinder support I need to make one for the new car that I'm swapping a manual into. I can definitely look at my old car but not for a while but I'd like to get it made ahead of time.
How much difference do these really make? Just curious. Were they only on the later years? I ask because it seems like for all my time being here I didn't hear about them and now I've seen several threads discussing them.

It was used beginning in 1984 with the introduction of the hydraulic clutch on 3rd-gens. The firewall is made out of rather thin metal and the reinforcement plate prevents cracking around
where the clutch master cylinder is attached. There are also two bars that go from the pedal pivot bolt to the firewall for further support.
Ok gotcha, yeah when I did my swap I thought it was fairly rigid due to the two support bars making a triangulated support. I guess every little extra bit helps though.
I am definitely going to be adding one to the new body no way I'm going through all this trouble to paint the damn thing and then have my firewall crack on a very clean chassis
