FTI Converters
Anybody have any experience with FTI converters for a 4l80e?? I'm leaning towards this unit
https://ftiperformance.com/products/...s-engines.html
It appears to be on par with Circle D in terms of build quality and reliability but is quite a bit cheaper.
I currently have a Circle D 10.25" unit but it's just too damn tight and it's a dog off the line.
If shipping wasn't such a killer I'd pull it and send it back to be reworked but I think I'd rather buy a new one and continue to drive the car while waiting for the new unit.
Let me know.

Re: FTI Converters
I've had 2 FTI converters for a 4l60e and they have been great. I have no experience with a 4l80e converter from them but I'm sure it would be just as good.

Re: FTI Converters
A converter from Circle D that is almost identical will run double that price. I'm not even sure when a huge price spike happened at Circle D but hot damn that's pricey

Re: FTI Converters
New converter installed and hot damn does it ever wake up the car!! The turbo seems like it's always ready to light off. Stalls around 3200ish and I'm actually seeing boost close to 1500 rpm! I'm not sure what kind of black magic the guys at FTI got going on but they hit the nail on the head with this converter.
