What's a good shift rod and **** to buy for a t56 swap?
Just about to start putting my magnum f in and I don't have a shift **** or rod to screw it to. The magnum came with the shifter bolted on with just the 2 threaded holes. I need the rod that bolts to that + a ****. Wanna make sure its the right length to fit with the console and all. Any suggestions? I guess the **** itself doesn't really matter as there are plenty of universal aftermarket ones, but the rod I would imagine needs to be a specific length\angle.

I used a short shifter from tick. I also used the upgraded shifter bushing. I don't know if I needed all that or not. I never drove it w the stock Tremac stuff. All I know is it shifts awesome. The magnum f is perfect in these cars. The shift gate is almost too tight, but it's really all just perfect. The actual stick that came w the tick shifter is like 5(ish) inches and perfect. I used a three pedals adapter plate to move the shifter stick 1.5 inches forward. This was more for personal preference/where my seat/arm were in relation to the shifter. There's a website where I got my shift **** called "twisted shifters". If you can't find something there I'd be surprised.

I put a Tremec TKO600 in my 89 Iroc and the tremec shifter was bad. I've used Pro 5.0 shifters before, so I bought one for the TKO and loved it, as I always do. I'm getting ready to do the Magnum F swap in my 86 this spring, and already have a Pro 5.0 for it!!!
