I have a 90' S-15 4x4 GMC Jimmy that got totaled out from being broadsided. The trans is in great condtion. I figure I would try and convert it for my project.

Is it possible to convert this tranny to a 2 wheel drive setup. I don't mind the work, just wondering what parts would be needed and associated costs. I also hear that the torque convertors for the 4x4 4.3L stall around 2K rpm, is this true? I am also pondering a 7004r from a 85 iroc for 500 dollars that is in good condition. Sorta weighing costs right now. Thanks alot - John
