Clutch Problems
I was wondering if anyone knows what could cause a clutch to go out quickly? I just replaced my clutch about a year and a half ago, and it starting to give symptoms that it is going out again. I do not ride my clutch at all, and I treat it good. Anyone know what gives?

You may not have enough "engagement" the opposite of a clutch / grinding problem. How many miles? if you drive it long distances and like to come off the line hard its normal for a stock clutch to die in about 15-30K mine always did because i beat it up and downshift alot. then i went auto.
But seriouselly, if your clutch isnt fully "ENGAGING" to the flywheel / pressure plate it will always burn and slip even when new... and you will barelly notice this until its too late (sounds like you) if its a hydroulic clutch its supposed to adjust itself... but ive seen those things go bad... at high RPMS / Highway speeds it will cause slight slippage which heats up and destroys the clutch quick.
Dont forget, the more "worn" a clutch gets the thinner it gets, and thinner clutches dont grab as well and burn up faster.
try a heavier Pressure plate / clutch disk...

i just turned over 148k. I went ahead and bought a new clutch anyway. I just took off the flywheel yesterday, and it looks like i might have to replace that too. It got so hot that it actually turned blue! The parts store guy said it is the worst he had ever seen. Two years ago when i got my clutch redone, i was told that they resurfaced the flywheel, but im having my doubts. It isn't possible for it to get to that condition in two years is it?

Like i already said, if the throwout bearing is riding on the pressure plate, it will always be a little disengaged, therefore, will cause everything to slip and heat up, which is EXACTLY what your seeing:
Blue / Purple Clutch
Blue / Purple FlyWheel
Blue / Purple Pressure Plate
etc...
===== HEAT and SLIPPAGE ===== Early Clutch /FlyWheel /Pressure plate Failure.
Yes if the flywheel is resurfaced it will dissolve quickly under heat, yes this is 99% probably the reason your clutch died so early, and yes, you need to figure out why its not fully engaging.
good luck now, i spent 4 months trying to figure clutches out, and wound up with an automatic in my car at the end anyways.
