converting 305 auto

i want to conver my automatic 91 305 firebird to manual.i know this is possible, but i need to know a lot of info bout it. most people say that it's not worth it,but this is something i really want to do. please give me some info on this. thanks

go read the tech artical....there is one here and at thirdgenresource.com

It is a PITA with the engine in place.....I am doing mine when the enging it out this summer.....plug and play.

I just did the swap a few months ago, Its not that hard to do. I did the whole job in a few hours over a weekend . Once you read the tech article and get familiar with what has to be done and what parts are needed to complete the job you will feel more comfortable.

please take my advise...i have a five speed with a 305...it is a pos, not the car but the tranny. it is very weak and i heard that it was only rated a 300ft/lbs torque. i don't know if that is correct but i know the damned thing breaks all the damn time and i can't hardly ind one for a descent price. so, no the installation would not be hard but putting up with all of the other bull**** after owrds is.
