My tranny blew on Monday, I have a question about the new stall conv. goin in my car
All the parts goin back in my are GM. My mechanic is having the tranny sent off to his tranny guy (who does all their race tranny's and all his clients race tranny's). The guy is supposed to be rebuilding the tranny and installing a shiftkit (or modifying the vavlebody to shift harder), and a GM highstall.
My question is, does anyone know what size and rpm it is? My Tbird had a Percision Industries 9.5" 2600rpm stall, and I'm hoping the GM stall is close to that.
Thanx

If you're talking about the 2025 rpm S-10/Corvette converter...then it's a 12" unit and on my van it stalls out around 2100-2300. I haven't really paid much attention because my crappy fiberglass leaf springs start to bounce if I flash it like that.
