lol man no offense meant but i dont think we dont need that sort of sstuff as we dont have that much of a traction problem i guess

all my runs using the Gtech i bark 1-2 but the slip loss in tyres is not very much i guess...

Try experimenting with the air pressure in the rear tires. If you're always peeling out, lower the pressure. You'd be better off upgrading the rear suspension (boxed/tubular rear LCA's and panhard rod) before dumping the $$ on some slicks.

can't you hurt your times by going to slicks if you are not pulling the power behind it since the tires/ rims are going to weigh more?

but yeah I agree I don't really think you are going to need slicks, just some better street tires I bet

slicks are for cars that have a severe problem spinning tires in the start and in between every gear ... i dont think he is gonna have that problem @ 200hp and 200Tq (i presume thats what he has)

edit : run it with teh current tires and see where ya stand ...whats the 1/4 like??

i think ill put of on the slicks for now. ill just get lakewood lower control arms and panhard rod. i was also going to get stiffer bushings for my torque arm. ill see what i can do with these. how much will my quarter times drop with all of these suspension mods. maybe a tenth or two?

Actually many cars would benefit from Drag Radials or slicks even our 2.8 beasts. A guy named soslow with his 1994 3.4 liter ran several 10ths faster with slicks over his stock tires.. Once I find his web page again if it is still up you will see the results slicks had. It is not drastic, but it does help.

If I had to choose slicks or LCA's I would get LCA's or torque arm first..
