TPI throtle body on a 3.1 MPFI?
yes you can.Just get a thick plate of metal/alloy and on one side drill and tap for the l98 tb.Make the backside of the plate mate the v6 plunum. Then make a smooth transition for the air to move from the l98 tb to your plunum.
if ur gonnna go thru all the trouble ..to ptu a tpi Tbody...
u might as well try to remake the upper plenum...ive seen it done on a fiero before..
he used 2 2.8 Tbodys with a custom made upper plenum and connected one TB to the other mechanically...
i dont remember where i saw it but it was on a fiero forum....
all the electrical connectors were on one TB whereas all that the other did was duplicate teh one that was open...im not soo sure about the injectors he used 'cos definitely it needs more fuel...

Don't many here just want to drive their cars instead of reinventing the wheel?
About the only place may of these "modified ides" may end up...
is some computer graphic created image...
Cheapest easiest way to create some ideas.
Like the car show curcuit....
All chrome & show, no go.

My paint sucks too,at least I have a 400sbc in my car.Really though the best way to mod a v6 is to get a super/turbo charger. If you build it right then it could withstand enogh boost to roach a viper easy. The thing is things like pistons are priced per 1.You will have less cost vs a v8,so you can do a bit more for the same money.I do have a 87 v6 camaro and might end up getting a turbo from the boneyard.I make my own chips so I would just virtually need to make the exhaust.

True, turbos are real effective for power in V-6's...but I mean, it'd be all custom. No turbo kits for our cars. And you know how custom machining is...$$$. Plus, turbos aren't something to play with in your spare time. You screw up a turbo setup and you can say bye bye to your engine in no time flat.

Yeah, it would. If I had the money, I WOULD have a turbo custom setup for my 91 RS. Just to surprise the HELL out of the IROC boys and the downtown ricers.
BUT, I'm pretty much broke. Guy's gotta have a dream....
