I need help fast!

Hey guys, i'm changing my stock muffler to a dynomax super turbo muffler. I need to go to my local auto parts store to buy some clamps and an extender/adater for the I-pipe. I think its 2 1/4, but does anyone know for sure without a doubt what the size is? the inner diameter of the inlet on the dynomax is 2 1/2 and it has dual 2 1/2 going out.

Thanks guys

I can't help you w/o a doubt; but if the intermediate pipe is stock whenever you go to the auto parts store ask them to look up the stock intermidate pipe for your car and match up everything with it. Just a thought.

If your Ipipe is stock, it's 2.25

Why not buy the dynomax cat-back instead and skip using all the funny adapters?

true that!

Just to clear something up, did all 2.8/3.1 get 2.25 or what? I am pretty sure I measured mine to be at 2.5 inlet with dual 2.25 outlets. I have a 2.5 catco cat. Just though maybe i should rechck those numbers. I might have a 2.25 y-pipe and that could cuase my my u-clamp aint seling the joint, i'll check that after work.

I'm just using the muffler cuz i got it for free off my parts car. the exhaust on the parts car looked something other than stock and sure enough i saw super turbo on the muffler, so i grabbed it yesterday and put it on today. What a PITA, i was at the auto parts store 4 times....haha, but me and my dad know them there, so they helped me out a lot and gave me like everything I could possibly need so i could see what worked and what didn't (note to self: Go to Haledon auto parts tommorow to pay for the things i used) lol> but neway, the muffler sounds good, its not too loud at idle, but onlike the stock muffler, it sounds good at higher RPM's.....i like it, later down the road i might buy the dynomax I-pipe and cat so i have the full cat-back system.

Thanks guys, Ted
