hey man
i just bought a posi/disc/3.23 rear from a 94 Z28
i picked it up last nite
heres my questions:
besides the proportioning valve, what else do i need to change to get the brakes and parking brake to work correctly
it came complete with rotors and calipers
i heard i need to change a few things, but i'm unsure of which
thanx

Not too sure about the 4th gen rear; you could ask over at camaroz28.com 's V6 area. But as for hydraulics, I've heard the same thing; you just need the prop valve. You might want to start spraying down the rear brake axle-hose-to-body-hard-line connection now with Liquid Wrench. Also, you should replace your 11 year old body-to-axle hose. If you have an extra $100 lying around, check out http://www.brakebleeder.com - I bought it, and it almost makes bleeding fun!

No, I put a 3.73/posi/disc axle from an '84 Trans Am into my car.
Then the posi blew, and now I'm on a $100 '88 V6 camaro's rear axle for the time being.

That's alright, just let us know how your project goes! I'm sure plenty of guys here would be interested in that swap- especially after the hell I went through with my rear discs, before I found out about the $60 recall kit to fix 'em. (82-88 rear discs were recalled.)

i need to figure out a way for someone to weld a pipe for EGR and a bungnut for an 02 sensor into my V6 headers
i'm probably going to put those on soon, once i get my Z28 on the road

where have you been.......?
they used to make headers a while ago for the 3rd gen V6 f-bodies.......
every once in a while a set pops up on ebay
i got a set that was never used before and are brand new
they are not setup for EGR nor an 02 sensor though
