I almost bought that guys kit back in the early 90's for my S-10 Blazer.
For $2500..........
I can insert a V-8 into my Blazer for 1/2 that much & get more power!
I'm inserting a 3.4 long block with 50K miles on it, rebuilt tranny and "new" used rear axle & gasket & I still come up way less than spending $2500 on just a supercharger for a worn engine.
He's in El Cajon, right?
I saw one of those at a swap meet for like $500.
I was gonna give the guy $50 and help him take it off his hands.

I could put that on the 3.4 I've got in my Blazer, tho!
Anyone want to buy it for me!

it only gives 5 lbs of boost at 5000rpm. Thats kinda lame.
now if it had 5lbs at 2500-3000, im am getting excited.

it is real neat and different.

sure that is simple but would it last very long like that?

spinning 2-3 time faster than designed for could cause havoc on the teflon seals.

I believe the racing ones do not but the street blowers have teflon seals on the screws.

how long do they last even when its a street blower?

I fear with the same ammount of cash a turbo would be better, if you spend the same ammount for a good turbo 20+ bo0st. not as neat as a blower sticking out of the hood though.

but it would suck having a blower n get wooped on, with a turbo they cant see it.

we caint go with that much boost on stock motor ( 9.5:1 or so)
maybe on the bonnie's motor (7.6:1 from factory, but cast pistons)

Theoretical question - on the 60* engines 3.4 = longest stroke - 2.8 the shortest. Could you put, say, a 3.1 crank in a 3.4 block to lower the compression ratio & run a massive boost?

3.1 crank 3.4 crank are the same, the piston pins are set higher for the compression increase. Rods are the same too.
