Pic of the old 2.8, & Y-pipes

this is what I pulled out. Look at that rust! You can see why I'm staying w/the 3.4 oil pan. Overall not too hard, but those tranny bolts were a pain.

this is a beter pic of the 3.4 & 2.8 Y-pipes. The 3.4 has a better union of the two pipes, but you can clearly see the difference in how to connect the cat convertor & rest of exhaust.

This is prabably a stupid question , but what made it rust so bad like that ? antifreeze leaking ? ... I bet you cant wait to get this thing running so you can take your bikes out of the garage

rust........dunno. The car was garaged for 2yrs before I got it. looks as bad as the heads do. The bikes are on the "other side" of the garage. As soon as the neighbors moved out, I spread out my operation like a fungus. just hope no one new looks in the garage hoping to park their car

blue & aluminum paint are the 500* type.
valve covers are same color as base manifold.
Bird on upper plenum is from 78 T/A, outside b-pillar, decal was gone.
Should I piant the raised runners on the plenum black or silver? or just leavve as is?

still haven't decided how to paint tb yet.....any suggestions

egr tube, & freshly painted poncho intake for swap also

I started topolish it w/wire brush. Worked pretty good, but curvy areas needed dremel to do, and the different grades of wires bristles looked crappy. I did my 77T/A in blue & am just keeping tradition alive

any ideas on throtle body color? will be a bytch to paint though
