OK..Will this work?
I went to the junkyard to get a factory air filter housing. What I want to do is take off the factory snorkel which will leave a square cut-out.Now, I want to increase the square to a LARGER square cut-out and put an appropriate setup on it to utilize all the available space from the fender to in back of the headlights to collect the air that is available .If you look at it like this, without the factory snorkel there, you can build walls to go on the factory housing and with the right angles on it, you can collect all the air there. After that, run a hose from the air housing with anything else to have a direct line going to the intake.I think we are trying to create a zero pressure so the intake does'nt have to "suck" the air it needs, rather it is there for the taking when its available. With a larger cut-out, more air can be inside the filter housing and the hose after the housing is the shortest route between 2 points.Any inputs or thoughts, please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

This is for an '91 Camaro. I meant the hole would be a large circle rather than a square.Increasing the hole size around the circumference of the factory canister making it larger from left to right.
