Unknown Toggle Switch (?)
So I got my 89 Camaro with no owners manual - shoot me. And now I do not know what the toggle swicth or the push button switch under my steering wheel is for. There is a "dummy light" that says "Security" like the "Service Engine Soon" llight, but they seem to have nothing to do with eachother. Now, I never heard of a third gen Camaro coming with a stock ignition cut off, but I have no idea what else this could be. There's no alarm on it, so I was wondering if you guys knew what it was. Thanks.

Hrm, sounds like the car HAD an alarm.....but not anymore.
Your Security light is part of the VATS system. Your key has a little pellet in it right? Thats a resistor. If the ECM doesn't see the right resistance, the car won't start. BTW, those keys run about $20-30 so don't lose it.

Sounds like the prev owner(s) had some kinda after market elec option, say alarm, driving lights, neons, radio w/amp turn off, could be about anything.
