What a day !

It was raining on the way home today , I was on the off ramp at I-55 at 1-10 getting on 1-10 , a car in front of me tapped his breaks so I braked . I started losing control and before I know it , I was doing a 360 and I went straight down in the ditch ! It happened so fast , I didn't get scared . The good thing is my car is ok !!!! Not a scratch . After the towtruck arrived and I was standing there while he was hooking up the chains , a jeep spun out of control and slammed into the towtruck , WITH IN 10 feet from where I was standing !!! It happened so fast , it didnt scare me . I walked over quickly and I could see they were ok , but I asked them to make sure . It was about a 35 year old chick and her Dad . It took me a little while to get his door open I had to pull it hard . The morol of this story guys . When you break down , or have to be pulled out of the ditch . DO NOT stand close to the tow truck . I could have been hurt easy by debray or if the jeep would have veered my way .I started not to post this because of the non tech in it . But I wanted to tell you guys , not to stand by the tow truck (EVEN IF ITS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD) because its not safe . I was just so glad those people were ok cus they smacked that towtruck .

Damn dude, glad you're alright, the other people are alright, and your car's alright (in that order)! I wonder if there was a patch of oil or something on the road that the both of you drove into...

Yeah , I was thinking the same thing b/c another car came along before the tow truck got there and he slid off the road but did not go in the ditch and he just drove back on .

What's kinda humorous about all this , is I had just locked my keys in my car at school , and I called AAA to come get them out . So when the lady called for the tow truck again , she got the same guy . So the same guy that got my keys out of my car came and pulled me out of the ditch !

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but if your car was okay, why did you need a tow truck? I'm not being a jacka$$. I'm just wondering if I am reading this correctly. By the way, I'm glad everyone (including the car, because we all know it's got feelings just like us) was okay. Please reply and let me know why a tow truck was needed...

Because even though the car was okay, he was still stuck in a ditch

Now that makes more sense. Didn't think of it that way. Me, being the dumbass I am, would've probably tried to get out on my own. Anyway, on the subject of such things, someone almost ran me off the road today. I was on my way to my girlfriends house when this POS Ford Focus just decided to cut into my lane while her bumper was basically at my window. Anyway, she kinda hit me, but jerked back over before any damage could be done to my car (man these cars are strong! ). Anyway, she stopped, we got out of the car, found a little dent on her car and none on mine - woohoo. So I let her off the hook warning her to look BEFORE she switches lanes - not WHILE she's switching lanes. As for Jade (thats my car), she drove off without a scratch and had a big ole smile on her grill!
